OUR STUDIO
Our 30+ weekly classes offer training in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Acro, Hip Hop, Tap, and Musical Theatre genres of dance, as well as specialised preschool programs, private vocal coaching, competition troupes, and more! Classical Ballet students at Studio C are taught through the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus with formal examination opportunities available, and we are especially proud to offer safe, comprehensive Acrobatics training with certified specialty instructors.
Located on the main street of Ballan, our studio is within walking distance of local primary schools and kindergartens - making after-school drop offs a breeze! Just a short drive from the neighbouring townships within Moorabool Shire including Gordon, Bacchus Marsh, Melton, and Myrniong, while also reaching families of surrounding areas including Ballarat and Daylesford. Our upstairs building features two dance studios, kitchen and bathroom facilities, ample parking, and a dedicated space for costuming.
Our annual end of year performance is the talk of the town with excitement and anticipation building for both families and students alike! Held around late Nov - early Dec at Founders Theatre in Mount Helen, each student has an opportunity to shine with professional lighting, costumes, photography and more!

OUR HISTORY
Since our humble beginnings in 2015 Studio C has existed in many forms, at various venues around Ballan but one thing has never changed; Miss Charlotte and her team are dedicated to providing high-quality, professional performing arts tuition with love and care for the growing rural community of Ballan.
Thanks to the support of our families and the determination from our team, Studio C has steadily grown into a performing arts studio of now over 150 students and counting! In late 2023 we found a new place to call home and the ongoing renovations continue to transform and upgrade the space with more and more features for our students and families to enjoy.

Studio C boasts a teaching team of qualified, highly experienced and passionate instructors who are active performers, frequently seeking extra professional development. They take pride in offering a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for students of all ages and abilities to grow, aligning with Studio C's values and mission. Each of these instructors strive to nurture and develop talent, celebrate the achievements of all students, and inspire a love and appreciation of all styles of dance and the Arts.

CHARLOTTE HAMILTON
She/Her
STUDIO DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

Miss Charlotte currently holds an internationally recognised Registered Teaching Status of the Royal Academy of Dance with an RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (RAD.RTS & CBTS). A passionate dance teacher with over 15 years of experience, Charlotte is also a certified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) instructor, holds a Certificate II in Dance, and strives to continue her professional development each year – often attending dance workshops, teaching seminars, or as a working performer. Charlotte completed her Cecchetti Classical Examinations up to Intermediate level at the Carole Oliver School of Ballet under the guidance of Carole Oliver, Mary Renouf, Adrian Fryer, and Kelly Aykers before continuing her training with The Academy of Classical Ballet. There, under the direction of Kellie-Fishwick Roscoe, Charlotte completed her Royal Academy of Dance examinations up to Advanced level before training full time at The Space Dance & Arts Centre Melbourne and going on to obtain her Royal Academy of Dance accreditations. Charlotte's professional experience includes performances at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Dance for Cancer Initiative, various professional gigs, music videos, and international performances in Los Angeles (Universal Studios, Hollywood Boulevard & Disneyland)! With extensive credits in Musical Theatre productions, Charlotte is a sought-after performer and received a nomination for The Dancer’s Award by the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria (MTGV) for her performance as ‘Victoria’ in CATS. In 2021 Charlotte was a featured dancer/ensemble in BLOC Music Theatre's highly acclaimed, sell-out production of 'Mamma Mia!', which received 13 MTGV award nominations (including Best Ensemble) and won Production of the Year.

JORDYN CHAPMAN
She/Her
Miss Jordyn holds a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management, a Certificate II in Dance, and a Module 1 Certification in AcroDance through Acrobatic Arts (AAC1). She completed her Cecchetti Classical Ballet exams (to Dance Spectrum) and the Elementary exam in the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) Jazz Moves Syllabus during her extensive training at the Ballarat Centre of Music and the Arts. Furthering her studies, Jordyn then pursued pre-professional training at Melbourne’s Transit Dance through their Youth Origins Program and has become a sought-after choreographer/instructor, renowned for her ability to empower dancers to discover and express their individuality. Now in her seventh year of teaching, Jordyn is dedicated to providing safe Acro training and promoting the importance of developing strength and foundational technique training across all genres of dance. Jordyn’s professional credits include instructing various Commercial workshops, dancing in music videos, performing as featured dance ensemble in multiple productions with BLOC and Ballarat Lyric Theatre, and choreographing various productions; most notably Jordyn was Choreographer for the Australian premiere production of ‘Freaky Friday the Musical’. In 2017 she was cast as a featured dancer in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, working with world renowned choreographers including Hara Papoulias and Deon Nuku. Jordyn’s performance in the spectacular was staged at Melbourne’s Hisense Arena to a live audience of 10,000 people and broadcast on national television.

ELLA BEDGGOOD
She/Her
STUDIO MANAGER
Miss Ella has a Certificate II in Dance and completed both her Cecchetti Classical Ballet exams up to Intermediate (Category A) and the Elementary exam in the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) Jazz Moves Syllabus. With over 14 years of teaching experience, including over 11 years in dance administration, Ella is passionate about teaching all aspects of the Performing Arts in both dance studios and primary/secondary education across Victoria. After receiving Honours in her Grade 6 Musical Theatre singing exam through the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB), Ella has since coached over 70 solo singing students in the last six years. Completing most of her training at Ballarat Centre of Music and the Arts (BCMA), Ella has worked with renowned industry professionals including Jade Naidu, Lisa Pyke, Terri Maher, and Sue Broadway. Her professional experience also extends to modelling, directing, and acting for both film and TV including the Stan Original ‘True History of the Kelly Gang’. In 2023 Ella was recognised by the Musical Theatre Guild of Victoria (MTGV) for her work on BCMA’s Finding Nemo Jr. and received a commendation for her Choreography, a nomination for best Direction, and won the award for Creative Design alongside her co-designers. In 2021 Ella was a featured dancer/ensemble in BLOC Music Theatre's highly acclaimed, sell-out production of 'Mamma Mia!' alongside Miss Charlotte & Miss Bella. Together, they were nominated as Best Ensemble and won as Production of the Year.

BELLA LEECH
She/Her
Miss Bella initially trained for eleven years at Ballarat Ballet Centre (most notably with David Sirianni) and furthered her studies at the Kerry Moore School of Ballet and Ballarat Centre of Music and the Arts, developing a wealth of experience across a wide array of disciplines. Completing Classical exams through Cecchetti Ballet Australia and both Tap and Jazz exams through Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD), Bella then pursued pre-professional training in the Youth Origins Program at Melbourne’s Transit Dance. Bella also completed Voice exams through the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) and has been training with Sarah Landy since 2022. Bella completed the first year of a Bachelor of Performing Arts before discovering a true passion for training performers in all aspects of physical development and is now pursuing a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and with a major in Strength and Training. Currently completing a Level 1 qualification through the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA), Bella hopes to help dancers build strong, resilient bodies to support safe and sustainable careers in the industry. With extensive credits as a performer, Bella has most notably worked with the Melbourne City Youth Ballet, the Ballarat Arts Foundation (under the direction of Lisa McCune and David Hobson), BLOC Music Theatre, and Ballarat Lyric Theatre. Since 2019 she has been actively involved with Melbourne’s Performing Artists Company (PAC) - first as a cast member in their productions, then in administrative and leadership roles including Production Assistant, Director Fellow, and Company Manager. In 2022, Miss Bella received the Moorabool Shire Youth Award for Creative Arts in recognition of her artistic creativity, talent and professional achievements, inspiring others through dance and the performing arts.

JAC GRAYLING
She/Her
Miss Jac trained extensively at Dynamic Dance Ararat since the age of four, covering a wide array of dance styles and nurturing her passion for the Performing Arts. Under the guidance of Charlotte Hamilton, Danielle Courtier, and Christine Carey, Jac completed her Classical Ballet exams through the Australian Academy of Theatrical and Ballet Dancing Inc. syllabus (AATBD); she also studied the AATBD Tap syllabus under the tuition of Donna McKenzie (nee Carey) and Rachel Kelly (nee Koenig) completing exams up to Advanced Gold. With 10 years as a competitive troupe and soloist dancer Jac also took on Assistant teaching and administration roles from a young age, frequently sought additional training through various workshops and auditions. Jac undertook Drama training with Tess Tonks whom she credits as a vastly influential part of her formative performing arts training. Jac is dedicated to seeking further her education in both the Dance and Health fields, completing her teaching accreditation in the nationally recognised Preschool Programs, Ready Set Dance and Ready Set Ballet, and completing her first year of a Bachelor of Nursing. She gained various qualifications to further support her passion for comprehensive safe dance training, including First Aid & CPR, Standard Mental Health First Aid, and is a certified Mental Health Ambassador. Jac’s professional credits include stage managing and/or choreographing various productions including ‘High School Musical’, ‘The Addams Family’, ‘Legally Blonde’, ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ and most recently Ararat Regional Theatre Society’s ‘Mamma Mia’ as guest choreographer.
